Visuals and sound effects
The game has a novel look and feel. The flames that dance around the side of the reels look like something out of a 90s Winamp visualisation. The rest of the background looks like a scene out of a Hallmark volcano movie, but that doesn’t detract from the experience.
The reels themselves are populated by the sort of high-quality symbols you’ve come to expect from Pragmatic’s design team. Importantly, they contrast well with the reels so you’re not left squinting at your screen to determine what’s landed on any given spin. Some strange decisions were made when designing the sound for this game. There appear to be two pieces of music – neither lending themselves to the game’s theme – that loop during gameplay. The first is a relaxing piece that you’d expect to hear when put on hold by your insurance company. The other could be the intro for a late-night talk show and features funky strings, keys and saxophones. Strange.

Fire Strike winning strategy
This medium volatility game is perfect if you’re graduating from the low volatility ranks and have a bit of a bigger float to play with. We found in our testing that the Fire Strike bonus triggers fairly frequently at the lower end of the multiplier table. Having said that, the paytable offers plenty of other opportunities to bag bigger wins, with even some lower-paying symbols paying up to 4x or 5x for landing four on a payline.
Conclusion
Fire Strike doesn’t innovate or push the boundaries of the genre in any way, and that’s fine!
